What this site collects

This is a personal site. The only data collected is what you submit through the contact form (your name, email, and message), the email address you give the essay-list subscribe form, and standard analytics from Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for page load and traffic patterns.

Analytics data is anonymized and aggregated. No personally identifying information is attached to page views.

How it is used

Contact-form submissions are used only to respond to your message. They are not shared, sold, or used for marketing.

The essay list

If you subscribe to the essay list, the only thing collected is your email address. It is used to send new essays and nothing else. It is never sold, shared, or used for any other marketing.

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. One click and the address comes off the list promptly. You can also use the contact form on the home page.

Cookies

Vercel Analytics may set a first-party cookie for session counting. No third-party advertising cookies are set. No cross-site tracking.

Data retention

Contact-form data is retained for as long as the conversation is active, then archived. Analytics data is retained according to Vercel's standard retention policy.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, request deletion, or opt out of analytics by emailing the contact address in the footer. EU and UK readers have rights under GDPR. California readers have rights under CCPA. Both apply here.
